We are looking for applicants with experience in Children’s physiotherapy who are motivated to further develop their skills and knowledge in this area.

The Oldham Community Paediatric Physiotherapy team, worked collaboratively with Pennine MSK and the Musculoskeletal Research Group at Newcastle University to achieve the Best Practice Award 2018 from the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR). We are proud to have achieved this award and want to ensure that we maintain this standard of achievement by expanding the team with an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist.

The Community Paediatric Physiotherapy team in Oldham is a well- established, friendly team consisting of experienced paediatric physiotherapists and senior physiotherapy assistants, supported by a team leader and clinical lead.

The team works in a variety of community settings, including; community clinics, special schools, nurseries and patient’s homes, and delivers physiotherapy assessment and treatment to children with a range of conditions, from children with anterior knee pain to those with complex needs. We are co-located with all the Children’s Therapy services and work alongside the Community Paediatric Service’s paediatricians and specialist nursery nurses.

This post offers the opportunity to work in a variety of community settings, managing a varied and challenging caseload.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with a wide range of healthcare professionals offering a holistic and integrated approach to ensure the best outcomes for children and their families

The role includes responsibility for supporting and developing junior staff, physiotherapy students and physiotherapy assistants.

You will have opportunities to develop experience and skills, ensuring continued professional development through clinical supervision, peer support, training opportunities, personal development reviews and support from senior staff.

In addition we can offer the successful candidate flexible hours within the 27 contracted hours across the working week.
