Community Staff Nurses

An opportunity has arisen for community staff nurses to work in District Nursing as part of our integrated health & social care teams. The vacancies are at various locations across Oldham.

Health and Social Care integration is moving at a pace in Oldham and we are looking for Community Staff Nurses to join one of our 5 cluster teams. Do you have an innate passion for supporting community services to transform in line with the governments Health & Social Care agenda. We are not just looking for ‘staff’; we are looking for someone who wants to use their skills, along with personality to make a BIG difference in a challenging but rewarding setting.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a variety of settings, and will be part of an innovative integrated team.

We are looking for a trained nurse who is patient and community focused, with excellent communication skills. If you identify with our vision and enjoy working in partnership with the local community come and join us.

Service Summary

  • Community/District Nursing
  • Adult service from 18 years providing nursing care to adults within the community setting.
  • Community Nursing has a 24 hour continuing responsibility for planned care.
  • The day service is Sector based across 5 community cluster teams across Oldham.
  • The hours of work are 7.5 hours per day between 8.00am to 6.00pm on any 5 days out of 7, depending on the needs of the service
  • There is some weekend and Bank Holiday working as part of the post
