CONSULTANT PAEDIATRIC RADIOLOGIST

 

We are looking for a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist to join our team at BCH. Applicants should be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for inclusion on the register 6 months after the interview date. A minimum of 1 year’s experience of Paediatric Radiology is an essential requirement.

 

The successful applicants will join a team of 11 Consultant Paediatric Radiologists, 1 clinical fellow and 4 Specialist Registrars within the department. Interventional radiology is provided by 1 Birmingham Children’s Hospital radiologist with support from radiologists from University Hospital Birmingham.

 

The department has all imaging modalities on site, including two 1.5-T MRI scanners. An NIHR-funded 3-T MRI scanner supports an increasing number of research programmes. The current radiology information system and hospital-wide PACS was replaced in 2011 and is currently being upgraded.

 

We are particularly looking for an individual with an interest in paediatric abdominal imaging particularly GI and GU but other sup-speciality interests will be welcomed.
