The Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA) unites five local hospitals to deliver high quality care across the North East of Greater Manchester.

The Alliance provides the benefits of scale but delivers this locally through multiple hospital sites which make up four new Care Organisations – Bury/Rochdale, North Manchester, Oldham and Salford. This post will be for a fixed nine month period to provide maternity cover.

The Northern Care Alliance (NCA) is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic procurement professional to join their award winning procurement team in the role of Senior Buyer.

The role will sit within our Strategic Sourcing team and as Senior Buyer you will contribute to the management of a designated category area.

Candidates will need to be confident in analysing data, engaging with stakeholders and driving and achieving cost savings whilst managing business as usual demands. You will contribute directly to the Trust’s procurement plan and cost saving target.

Experience within a procurement function is essential and you must have an understanding of public sector procurement include EU Regulations and OJEU procurement processes and thresholds.

As Senior Buyer you will be able to work with conflicting requirements and to challenging deadlines. You will be confident in your organisational and time management skills and will use these to ensure the service is responsive to the changing needs of the organisation.

This post will be based at either Salford Care Organisation or Oldham Care Organisation depending upon candidate preference but due to the nature of the role you may be required to work on various NCA sites, all new starters to Corporate posts within the Northern Care Alliance will be employed by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and be on a Salford Contract.
