We are looking to recruit highly motivated, newly registered nurses to help us deliver high quality, safe and compassionate care. Our registered nurses will make a real difference to patients’ lives, so whether you are providing skilled nursing care you will be providing continuing compassionate care and support.

Whipps Cross University Hospital is looking to actively recruit students who are in their final year due to qualify in 2020.

Your training and development doesn’t stop when you finish your student placement. Whipps Cross is committed to developing you throughout your career so that you can deliver safe and compassionate care to our patients and be the best nurse you can possibly be. We have opportunities for rotation, developing leadership skills and a variety of clinical settings and structures to diversify your career progression.

To help progress your career Whipps Cross is happy to allow student nurses who have completed their course to commence employment with us as Band 3 nursing assistants, whilst awaiting their PIN or to work on the bank whilst studying.

As a newly qualified nurse we will develop your skills, knowledge and professional confidence and you can be assured that you will be supported and developed in your role. All our newly qualified nurses complete the preceptorship programme and are supported by the senior team and our practice development nurses. We know that it can sometimes be difficult to know what you want to do and feel confident about putting your training into practice, so we’re here to give you the support and training to help you.

We are currently recruiting to the following specialties:

      • Older People Services (OPS)
      • General Medicine
      • General Surgery
      • Rotations
      • A&E
      • AAU
