Helyg Day Services provide assessment and treatment to people over the age of 65 and facilities a Holistic, Therapeutic and Evidence-Based approach to Older Persons Mental Health Care, both functional and organic.

It incorporates 2 Day Hospitals, one in the Flintshire area and one based within the Older Persons Mental Health Unit (Heddfan) in Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The post holder will be expected to work in both these units, as well as various community settings and may be required to also carry out home visits.

We therefore work in partnership with both inpatients and community teams to provide a flexible, needs-led service whose main aims are to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and provide support facilitate early discharge.

This is a demanding role within a service undergoing continued change, challenge and growth.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse who can positively enhance our small team, develop practice, including therapeutic group work, and championing mental health services for Older People.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
