Applications are invited for the posts of Consultant in Older Peoples Services at Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals. The appointee will join a team of consultants in elderly medicine who provide a comprehensive service for residents of Northeast Essex and East Suffolk as part of ESNEFT (East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust). Two posts are being sought; a Geriatrician with an interest in Ortho-Geriatrics in Colchester and a Geriatrician with an interest in Movement Disorder in Ipswich.

This is an exciting time to be joining us. ESNEFT was formed on 1 July 2018 from a merger of Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust and The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust.

We are also developing close links with the academic institutions within our region which would enable us to offer research opportunities in the future if this is something the successful applicants would be interested in developing.

Colchester: Applications are invited for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our friendly and dynamic team within Older People’s Services at Colchester Hospital. It is expected that the new appointee will participate in further development of an established Ortho-Geriatrics service for elderly patients in Northeast Essex. Other subspecialty interests are also be considered. The key elements of the role include inpatient care, Ortho-Geriatrics as well as teaching and training junior medical staff.

Ipswich: Applications are invited for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our friendly and dynamic team within Older People’s Services at Ipswich Hospital and community services. This is a replacement post following the retirement of one of our colleagues and the opportunity to join an energetic team of professionals providing general geriatric and specialist Movement Disorder services for patients in East Suffolk.
