We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Associate Practice Educator to join our Residential School Nursing Team (RSNT) at Chailey Clinical Services within Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

RSNT is a unique school nursing team proving care and support to pupils attending Chailey Heritage Foundation School and to pupils who live within the residential bungalows at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

As the Associate Practice Educator, you will be responsible for training current staff predominantly within Chailey Heritage Foundation, as well as supporting and orientating new staff to RSNT. You will be directly involved in teaching on complex healthcare needs such as LTV, seizure management, enteral feeding, catheterisation and medication administration and will also be pivotal in assessing the competency of the staff who attend the training both by direct supervision and via OSCE.

As an excellent team player, you will work closely with the RSNT's Team Lead, Practice Development Nurses, and Clinical Lead. With appropriate complex care experience and a commitment to staff development, you will help to maintain a supportive environment for staff in our dynamic and busy units.

You will need to work unsocial hours including nights and weekends as required.

Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential as you will be supported to gain these.
