An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 secretary to join the Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Traded Team. The post is on a secondment / fixed term contract with the potential for extension and applicants with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

The successful post-holder will be part of a friendly team supporting the city-wide CSLT Traded Service. You will assist the traded business team by:
- Monitoring and maintaining practitioner training bookings utilising an electronic booking system. The bookings will be from education settings in Leeds and neighbouring areas.
- Maintaining a quarterly record of income generated.
- Ensuring the service’s clinical staff have the necessary training packs and resources.
- Supporting the marketing of new and existing business opportunities.
- Assisting with the monitoring and maintaining of service level agreements for therapy.
- Involvement in projects with the traded business team to improve the smooth running of our income generating business.
- Line management of the CSLT Traded Administrator.

Are you:
- Friendly, approachable and highly organised with an eye for detail and used to working with a professional approach?

- Able to multi-task whilst working to deadlines without direct supervision?

- Competent in using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other methods to collate data.

Can you demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills?
- Knowledge and management of office systems and procedures?
- Experience of working in a customer service environment?
- A flexible approach to work (you may be required to travel to other locations across the city to attend meetings, assist with admin duties etc).

Do you have:
- Level 2 IT skills ie RSA/OCR or equivalent?
- NVQ Level 3 Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent?
- English and Maths to GCSE Level A-C?

On the day of the interview there will be a short test in creating and using Excel spreadsheets (30 minutes will be allocated for this task).

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.83 or Standard £30) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
