Your role

We are in a position to offer both band 5 or band 6 posts. This will be dependent on your experience. At Leeds Community Healthcare Trust we are looking for applications from both experienced and newly qualified staff. We will offer a package of induction for all newly qualified staff who are successfully appointed. Please indicate on application which post you are applying for.

You will work as a CAMHS practitioner within one of the three Community Camhs Teams. CAMHS is a multi-disciplinary service which offers assessment and treatment to young people and families with a range of mental health difficulties. You will work as part of a wider multi-Disciplinary team, offering an assessment clinic, inputting and contributing into clinical pathways and offering therapeutic interventions within this.
We would welcome applicants from clinicians with training in a specific modality for example CBT. If successful we would commit to protecting 50% of your working week to deliver such a therapy which would support your accreditation requirements.
We would also welcome applicants who have experience in the assessment of neurodevelopment disorders.

This post is open to all staff with a professional qualification and we would welcome applications from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social workers and other professions.

You will work alongside other mental health practitioners to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate client care and interventions at a specialist level. You will be responsible for holding a clinical caseload aiming to reduce the impact of mental health and/or neuro-developmental difficulties in young people and assist in their CAMHS journey. You will work with your colleagues on the duty Rota.

To join us in this role you will need to demonstrable working knowledge of mental health difficulties experienced by children and young people. Experience of multi-agency and team working, as well as the ability to work autonomously are essential for this role.

There are full and part-time posts available and you could be based at any of the three Community CAMHS bases, which are Kirkstall Health Centre, Parkside Health Centre and The Reginald Centre.

You will need to be able to travel independently across the City. The service runs Monday to Friday 9 - 5.
It is highly recommended that you contact the service prior to interview for further information. To arrange an informal visit or to discuss the role, please contact Emma Lydon, Team Manager on 01138434468 or Kate Burns, Service Manager on 01133057200

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
