Varied/relief shift patterns available (12, 18, 24 and 30 contracted hours per week available)

 

NHS 111/IUC Clinical Advisor Paramedic – Band 6 (£30,401– £37,267) + unsocial hours allowance as per section 2 Agenda for Change.

 

Here at South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) we have exciting opportunities for clinicians within our dynamic and innovative urgent care service. The service is driven to ensure our patients receive the most appropriate care when faced with urgent healthcare needs.

 

We are looking to recruit reliable and passionate Paramedics to join our motivated, friendly and hardworking team of clinicians based in Bicester, Oxfordshire to support the smooth running of our Telephone Triage Service.

Think you have what it takes?

Working within this role you will carry out complex clinical telephone triage in a sensitive manner providing assessment, advice and information in line with clinical assessment software whilst utilising your knowledge, experience and professional judgement, referring to other services where appropriate. You have to be prepared to work 5/8 weekends in a 4-week period and the shifts are 6/8 hour in length.

 

Successful candidates will be required to complete a nine week fulltime training programme, covering internal systems, NHS pathways assessments and call centre mentoring. We offer continued support and development throughout this role.

If you are;

  • NMC/HCPC registration

  • Registered general nurse (RN1, RNA)/Registered Paramedic

  • Triage experience

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Good level of computer literacy

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Recent professional clinical experience

 

Desirable Requirements:

 

  • Motivated towards further professional development

  • Understanding of Clinical Governance and audit practices

  • Flexible working approach
