We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our busy but friendly team here at Sheffield Children’s NHSFT

Applications are invited from motivated individuals with expert clinical skills, managerial and service development experience. This is a new post that will supplement our existing trainee ANP programme.

You must hold a recognised Advanced Clinical Practitioner master’s degree including the V300 qualification of an independent prescriber. You should be able to evidence well developed clinical examination skills to assess, diagnose, treat and provide advice, care and management for elective and non-elective patients, with diagnosed or undiagnosed undifferentiated illness. You must also be confident in referring to other appropriate health care services e.g. Patients own GP, Secondary Care and Community Services and provide clinical leadership as required

You will be working closely with the consultants and junior doctors providing initial assessment and decision making, urgent investigations and treatment of acutely unwell patients. You will work closely with the acute medical take as well as many other specialist teams, aiming to avoid unnecessary admissions or treat in a timely manner, supporting the trusts 4hr standard.

You will be provided with a consultant educational supervisor who will support you in your development, as well as receiving supervision from peer group and senior nurse support.

When fully established the ACP service will undertake a 24/7 rota consisting of day and night shifts.
