Why Livewell Southwest?

One of the UKs largest health and social care Community Interest Companies, (3,000 staff and Commissioned at £100M+), we successfully reinvest any surplus in the communities we serve.  This promotes health and wellbeing, builds community resilience and a sustainable future for all.  Rated by the CQC as good overall and exceptional for some of our services, we are proud to be different and successful.  We forge strong, trusting relationships with commissioners in health and care, plus thriving, collaborative relationships with our partners and co-providers.

We also excel in learning and training in all professional disciplines.  We are proud partners of both Plymouth University and Plymouth University Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry (PUPSMD), so we can offer continuing education, and a range of special interests, as well as teaching, training and research possibilities.

LSW has formally adopted the recommendations of the “Charter for Staff and Associate Specialist and Specialty Doctors”.  We wish to provide a working environment that recognises SAS Doctors diversity of background, the major contribution they make to the delivery of care to patients and one that adequately rewards, motivates and develops this essential group of doctors.
