The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s leading providers of non-surgical cancer treatment including pioneering chemotherapy, radiotherapy and eye proton therapy.

Caring for over 7,600 inpatients each year, our extensive network of clinics at 15 local hospitals provides highly-specialist cancer care at almost 150,000 outpatient appointments annually.

We are currently embarking on an £162 million investment in facilities including a new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool due to open next year. Based on the same thriving research and healthcare campus as the University of Liverpool and Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the new hospital will ensure every patient receives truly outstanding care and can access the most advanced treatments and clinical trials for generations to come.

An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accounts Support post within the Contracting and Costing team of Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible individual to support the trust finance team within contracting.

The candidate will have an AAT Technician level or NVQ 4 in relevant subject or relevant and numerate subject Degree. Prior experience of working within the NHS or the public sector is desirable but not essential.

You will produce and report on financial information, assisting the Contracts and Business Manager, in providing information and advice to Senior Managers, Commissioners and Contractors. This includes getting agreement from budget holders of contract values and monitoring of activity during the year. You will also be involved in the annual contracting process and other financial administrative tasks.

Candidates must possess excellent IT skills and be willing to work under own initiative and as part of a team. Applicants should be highly numerate with clear verbal and written communication skills and be capable of prioritising workload effectively.
