Administration/Support Worker

St Mary’s Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight

37.5 hours per week

Agenda for Change – Band 3

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Administrator/Care Support Worker to assist in the development of future Lung Cancer and other tumour sites, Risk Stratified Pathways, Health Promotion and follow-up services on the Isle of Wight incorporating the national cancer recovery package.

This post will work in collaboration and support of the Cancer Teams to help develop and deliver services across organisational, professional and geographical boundaries. This role will work closely with key areas of the Trust, forging close working relationships with the visiting consultants from the Cancer Centres, the medical and cancer teams, and the Specialist Palliative Care team.

It is essential that you possess a high level of up-to-date relevant knowledge, secretarial and administration skills and practical clinical experience in dealing with patients who have cancer, oncology or specialist palliative care needs. You must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills.

 

Working with the Lung Cancer team this post will assist the implementation and assessment of the service against the NHSi Quality Measures and implementation of the optimum Lung Cancer and other tumour group pathways.
