As part of succession planning within Lane Ends Surgery, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and forward thinking Associate Practice Manager to join our team.  This is a new post and will support the Practice Manager in the continued successful management of the practice.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate, on completion of agreed training, will transition into the role of Practice Manager from August 2020 on a full-time basis.

The Associate Practice Manager will have the vision to drive changes and adapt to NHS targets and challenges within an efficient working environment, alongside the willingness to learn as they commence their post in practice.

The successful candidate will possess the aptitude to support practice engagement with the wider health economy as required, such as our primary care network, practice manager network and other health and social care providers to ensure we are consistently kept aware of best practice and new developments.

We are looking for someone who will proactively help to support the Practice Manager to manage the Practice and plan for the future.

A background in healthcare would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Lane Ends Surgery is located in a newly purpose built building, with good transport networks in and around Preston.  We are significantly increasing our list size and need to grow our team accordingly.

We can offer:

  • Annual salary £35,000 - £39,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
  • NHS Pension
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Role available immediately
