An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic mental health nurse to join the Insight Team, based within the Zone, who jointly provide care and support for service users who have experienced a first episode psychosis.

 

A Band 5 post in the Plymouth Mental Health Services affords you the opportunity to work in the community and to develop a range of skills; this will include the provision of the Care Program Approach, Care Co-ordination, risk and crisis management and liasion with other services.

We would welcome applications from experienced Mental Health Nurses only.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced mental health professionals and from preceptors. 

Working up to full time hours, you will provide a high standard of care within a multi-disciplinary team and should hold a Diploma/Degree level qualification, NMC registration and ideally possess recent clinical experience in a community or relevant mental health in-patient setting. Newly qualified Nurses seeking preceptorship will be considered. 

 

As a team we provide a very supportive environment to work, which includes group clinical supervision and 1:1 reflection with peers, to ensure the successful applicant feels supported by the whole team with their workload.

 

As a job role you will be given the opportunty to be involved in all aspects of a clients care, that gives the exposure to  a vast range of learning opportunities all supported by the necessary training to conduct the role to the highest possible standard, all supported by the senior clinicians witin the team.  

 

An induction period will be offered, where you will have the opportunity to work with experienced team members to develop your skills and confidence of working within these developing teams. Your own training and professional development needs will be identified through your ongoing appraisal and Personal Development Plan.
