This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience to join our friendly team of support staff at the CITS office. We provide a first line service desk to more than 12,000 clinicians and support staff across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, recording around 140,000 requests and incidents a year.

We are recruiting for a permanent Service Desk Analyst. This is a full time post working an average 37.5 hours per week. The majority of shifts will be during core Service Desk hours but there may the occasional requirement to cover a weekend or evening shift.

We are looking for a person with the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Experience of an IT Service or helpdesk function in a busy, dynamic environment.
  • Good general understanding of technology, with practical experience of administering directories within a Microsoft environment an advantage.
  • Proven customer care skills.
  • Proven communications skills, pleasant telephone manner.
  • Excellent team player with a good sense of humour.
  • Copes well in a high volume environment.
  • Accurate word processing / typing / numeracy / data entry skills.
  • Experienced user of e-mail systems – MS Outlook and NHS Mail an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts essential.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.
