Newtown Medical Practice is looking for an experienced full time Medical Receptionist to work in a busy and rewarding environment.

Applicants must have a good standard of general education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s, to include English and maths or equivalent, basic IT skills, communication skills, common sense, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work as part of a team.

Duties to include :

  • Opening/closing up of the surgery

  • booking and cancelling appointments

  • front of house reception duties

  • dealing with queries

  • , dealing with prescriptions

  • answering the phone

  • dealing with requests for home visits

  • general administration duties.

    A high level of flexibility will be required to cover the hours on a rota between 8.00am and 7.00pm

    Permanent position, 37 hrs per week over 5 days

    Salary in the range £16235.00-£20949.00 (dependent on experience)
