Looking for the chance to develop your skills and have an influence across a diverse organisation? Want to work across physical health, mental health and learning disability services across a wide range of locations in Cheshire and Wirral?

An opportunity has arisen to join a progressive and dynamic Infection Prevention and Control Team who provide an Infection Prevention and Control, Tuberculosis and Public Health service to the wider population of Cheshire West and Vale Royal, including Registered Care Homes, General Practitioners, Schools, Childcare providers and Dentists. As part of a small responsive team, you will be supported in providing specialist infection prevention and control, tuberculosis and public health advice, proactive and reactive support, training and audit to all of these services. This is a great opportunity to make a difference to the quality of care and improve outcomes for patients using our services, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

You will work across services, providing strong leadership and direction to enable them to identify infection prevention and control risks, investigate appropriate strategies to address risks and measure the impact on the delivery of patient care. You will work autonomously but under the direction of more senior members of the team and other agencies including Public Health, acting as a resource and a role model for evidence based clinical practice.

As part of cross service working you will inspire and motivate others, empowering them to ensure that all Trust infection control policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.

You will be a registered nurse ideally with a post registration qualification in teaching and assessing or equivalent experience. You will have a passion for infection prevention and have a desire to work towards an infection prevention and control qualification.
