Medical Devices Technician/Librarian

The Medical Devices Library Service within the Medical Devices Support Service has a vacancy in the team which provides all aspects of technical support for a broad spectrum of medical devices used across the South Devon health, care and social community.

We are looking to recruit a technical support officer to provide support to the Medical Devices Library Service, which is an internal loan service to Torbay Hospital for key items of medical equipment used in all wards & most departments. Under supervision they will provide support for low risk medical devices.

Applicants should have an interest in healthcare technology and have some previous practical experience in healthcare environment. The successful candidates will receive further specialised training to enable them to carry out their duties and to develop professionally.

The post holder will be required to travel to other centres in the South Devon area in the course of their work and will be required to hold a full driver’s licence.
