We are a values driven, people business with a passion for excellence. Our vision and social purpose is to build healthier communities and our values of integrity, expertise, unity and enterprise lie at the heart of everything we do, guiding how we work together with partners and each other to consistently deliver high quality compassionate care. As a social enterprise we aim to add social value by investing in the future of our local communities and helping to make a difference in people’s lives.

Small Steps Big Changes (SSBC) is a 10 year ‘Fulfilling Lives - A Better Start’ (ABS) National Lottery Community Funded Programme. It is a partnership programme between CityCare (the accountable body for the funding and employer of the team) the City Council, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the VCI sector and parents.

It’s an exciting and pivotal time to be joining SSBC; the programme is four years old and we are now growing our team to support our local ambition for babies, children and families and to meet National Lottery Community Fund priorities.

We have solid foundations in place, new Strategic Leadership and Senior Management appointed and have reframed our team to realise our ambitions. We now require an outstanding individual to join our Business team in a new Contracts and Funding post. This role will work to ensure the commissioning intentions of SSBC are implemented and delivered through contractual arrangements.

Do you want to contribute to transforming the lives and life chances of children within 4 Wards of Nottingham? Are you inspired and motivated by new challenges?

Are you committed to genuine coproduction with local communities, statutory bodies and VCS partners?

Do you have the skills, experience and knowledge to be part of our Business team?

Do you have experience in contracting, commissioning, procurement, performance management, quality assurance and are passionate about ensuring services are meeting the local need?

If so, this is a call to action to join us and make a lasting difference! – We need a committed, enthusiastic, solution focused individual to join us as our Contracts and Funding Officer.

SSBC works with expectant parents, families, professionals and a wide range of partner agencies to position child development at the heart of our programme as a primary public health issue. It will build on the intrinsic motivation of parents to be the best they can be and capture this key ‘teachable moment’ to prepare and support parents to achieve the best outcomes for their children. It will put in a place a new portfolio of activities and interventions that focus on primary prevention. At the core of this portfolio will be a solid platform of evidence-based programmes guaranteed to improve child development and health outcomes. At SSBC we are committed to a Father inclusive approach in all our work, therefore all staff have an important role in supporting father-child relationships
