A rare opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate clinician looking to join a highly experienced and specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapy service covering Mid Sussex and the Crawley/Horsham area. We are looking for a Band 5 OT with an interest in developing their skills within the paediatric arena. Specialist training and development will be available for the successful candidate.

This is a community post where the post holder will hold a caseload of children and young people with neurological and developmental conditions. The post holder will develop their skills with carrying out assessments and interventions for children with a variety of clinical conditions and develop interventions that can be administered by parents, education staff and technical instructors.

You will work closely with the child, their family, and other professionals involved in their care. We are committed to multidisciplinary working and contribute to specialist clinics, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to this post. You will also be responsible for contributing to the development of children's services alongside colleagues within the team including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Nurses, Early Years Practitioners and Paediatricians.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate clinical skills gained through previous OT experience. It would be beneficial for the candidate to have previous paediatric experience through practice placements. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently, have excellent organisation/time management skills and be enthusiastic in participating in service development. Regular supervision will be provided by senior staff.

As this is a community post a car owner/driver essential.
