Working closely with partner organisations, the CCG’s 300 staff design, plan and commission health services for more than half a million people and monitor the quality and effectiveness of those services.

Our forward thinking, financially robust and clinically-led organisation is based in the centre of Welwyn Garden City, a 1920s ‘garden city’ in the heart of Hertfordshire. Welwyn Garden City is 25 minutes from central London by train and easily accessed from the A1 and other major road networks.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be part of a friendly team overseeing the financial aspects of the Adult Continuing Healthcare Portfolio.

Their main responsibilities will include supporting the monthly reporting process and, processing the Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Invoices for payment and will include the following:-

  • Analysing large amount of data to provide monthly and forecast spend
  • Provide monthly analysis to identify any variances between months
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Continuing Healthcare database
  • Processing a large number of invoices for payment accurately and in a prompt manner to prevent any delays to payments
  • Resolving any invoice queries, liaising with both the providers and the core Continuing Healthcare team with the aim of resolving the discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assists with annual negotiations with the Continuing Healthcare providers by providing spend/activity analysis
  • Support other members of the Finance Continuing Healthcare team, as and when the need arises.

The applicant must have experience in a financial environment, with exposure to management accounting as well as invoice processing. They must also have good communication and problem solving skills, and an excellent attention to detail. Good knowledge of Excel is also essential.

Knowledge of the commissioning continuing healthcare process and/or Oracle is also desirable.
