About The Role

The Recruitment Team Leader will be responsible for leading and management of a team dedicated to Recruitment for the CSH in a busy and fast paced office. He/she will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective recruitment and selection service and will ensure the service is delivered in accordance with policies, procedures, NHS standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

The primary responsibility of this role is to:

  • Oversee workload distribution and all activities undertaken by recruitment team, ensuring all end-to-end recruitment and selection lifecycle activities are delivered meeting KPI requirements and CSH’s expectations


  • Take responsibility for resolving any requests/queries/escalations as referred to him/her by the recruitment team and escalate to the Head of HR and/or CSH managers as required.


  • Lead, manage, train, develop and implement appropriate performance management activities of the recruitment team.


  • Responsible for providing direction and improvement on operational processes and technology, as well as partnering others on the strategic direction


  • Lead and/or contribute to Recruitment and Selection projects in co-ordination with the HR Team.


  • Manage a fair and transparent Recruitment and Selection process which is in line with equality monitoring guidelines.


  • Produce ongoing reporting information and regular dashboard data, ensuring accuracy and timely production whilst adhering to strict deadlines.


  • Provide advice & support on a range of recruitment related issues.


  • ·       Manage the development and maintenance of recruitment online (NHS Jobs) & offline files e.g. spread-sheets and maintains HR records system/s

What are we looking for?

  • A relevant university degree or relevant professional qualification or equivalent HR/Recruitment experience.

  • Experience of leading a small team to deliver results within a target driven environment.

  • Have worked with a diverse range of customers, both internal and external to the organisation, to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Experience of the development/ design of training

  • Ability to use initiative, prioritise workloads and meet set deadlines

  • Demonstrable track record of negotiation, communication and influencing skills in order to meet the needs of the post

  • Demonstrate evidence of personal responsibility for achieving significant measurable improvements, at an organisational level, across a range of activities.

Recruitment - Golden Hello

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts.
