Pause Derbyshire Practice Lead

Salary Range £37,570-£43,772

Are you an ambitious, creative and influential leader or practitioner who is passionate about reducing the number of children being removed into care by supporting women to bring about change in their lives? Do you have direct experience of working with and affecting change in vulnerable individuals? Or are you an organised, innovative, administrative professional?

Pause is a charity seeking to prevent the damaging consequences of thousands more children being taken into care each year.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care.

The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma, as well as reducing huge costs to society and the taxpayer.

Pause Derbyshire will be delivered by Ripplez CIC, working in collaboration with Derbyshire County Council. It has been structured as a ‘social outcomes contract’, with the Council committing to pay for successful outcomes. Up-front funding and ongoing support is being arranged by Bridges Fund Management, a specialist social impact investor with extensive experience of delivering outcomes contracts.

The Role:

As Pause continues to spread and progresses from strength to strength, we need great people to lead, develop and coordinate our Practices.

As a Pause Practice Lead you will provide leadership to an individual Pause Practice to ensure the implementation and delivery of an integrated package of health, therapeutic and social support.

In this role, you’ll be a big part of a small team, where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work, and is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable and marginalised groups

Like Pause, you will be passionate about changing entrenched social issues, and will respond by ‘doing things differently’. You will play an integral part of a team where everyone takes an energetic, flexible and collaborative approach to their work, and are committed to improving outcomes in society.

Please note: secondments for the Practice Lead and Practitioner roles from relevant partner agencies will be considered – this could be from Children's Services, Adult Services, Health, Probation, Mental Health Services, or other relevant voluntary services.

For more information please contact Gill McKay at Ripplez CIC gill.mckay@nhs.net or 07807135937.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th October 2019 at Derwent Stepping Stones, Chaddesden, Derby DE21 6AH.

If you are shortlisted for interview you will be contacted by email. If you have not been contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date then please assume you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
