We have an opportunity for a Bank Clinical Pharmacist to join our team of staff in the Pharmacy department.

 

Applicants should fulfil the following criteria:

Must have a Degree in Pharmacy

Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Knowledge of Care Quality Commission requirements

Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate well with a range of people at differing levels across the hospital

Experience of dispensing medicines and experience of medicines management in a hospital setting (preferred)

 

Duties of this role include:

To facilitate the daily running of the Pharmacy Department – providing a safe and effective medicines management service to all patients, staff, consultants and customers

To provide an efficient Pharmaceutical Service for both inpatients and outpatients and to provide a ward based clinical service to patients that have been admitted

Ensure timely and accurate charging of medicines

Provide advice and clear instructions to patients that require discharge medication

Ensure compliance with  all appropriate regulatory, professional and best practice frameworks

Be a proactive member of the Hospital’s pharmacy team

Our 'bank workers' work ad hoc shifts as and when required to suit business needs, often to cover busy periods, sickness or annual leave.
