FULL/PART TIME HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

Required for GP Practice in Forest Gate with a ‘CQC Outstanding’ rating

Salary depending on experience

We are a busy practice in Forest Gate, London E7. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant with previous experience in primary care.

You will be a valued member of a primary care team of 14 Doctors, 4 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA’s.

The HCA role involves:

  • Undertakes agreed procedures to include, venepuncture,
  • Peak flow spirometry, BP checks, height, weight, BMI, urinalysis, and new patient health checks
  • Assisting in minor surgery and supporting patients who are anxious or distressed
  • ECG, Phlebotomy, London Underground medicals, stock check, screening such as Chlamydia and TB, Rapid immunisations
  • Participates in chronic disease management programmes e.g. basic review diabetic, CHD, asthma and other relevant clinics.
