The Pathology IT Department manages a large number of systems which require continual modernisation and maintenance, these include Winpath LIMS, TQuest order communications, ICE and Keystone PMIP reporting to GPs, SQL databases, Review results reporting, Pathmanager data warehouse and analyser interfaces.

The Pathology IT Department supports 400+ Pathology staff, 120+ GP practices and community clinics and clinicians and support staff at Queen Elizabeth and Lewisham Hospitals.

LIMS Change Lead – IT Directorate (Based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Site).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a LIMS Change Lead to support the provision of Pathology IT. The successful applicant will take on responsibility for managing change in the Winpath LIMS, will be involved in system design and maintenance, will process a wide variety of data and information and advise and train users on the Pathology IT and related systems.

Particular job responsibilities will include support of all pathology software and hardware as advised by the Pathology IT Manager. This will include defining system change, completing change control documentation, attending change meetings, supporting and ensuring business continuity, patient database integrity and enabling full compliance with the Accreditation, Quality Systems and Benchmarking requirements of pathology and relevant external agencies, including the MHRA, CPA and NPSA.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of providing high level trouble-shooting of all IT systems associated with Pathology in addition to developing and adapting a wide range of software platforms.

You may be required to work on a rota basis with colleagues proving unassisted out of hours support for all essential Pathology IT systems.
