Senior Imaging IT Systems and Project Specialist

The Senior Imaging IT Systems and Project Specialist Role is an integral role within a dynamic team that supports Imaging IT systems in the clinical and technical environments.  Our ultimate focus is to enable the delivery of patient care - in partnership with our clinical colleagues. 

We are looking for a patient focused, diplomatic IT professional with relevant demonstrable system management experience, who is self-motivated, able to complete tasks as well as integrate into a team with passion and enthusiasm. 

The ideal candidate will be demonstrably experienced and very effective communicator, who is able to provide on-going support to a wide user base, while also taking ownership of issues and problems.  The ability to liaise with project teams and stakeholders to bring projects to fruition following a PRINCE 2 methodology will be advantageous.

You should be able to demonstrate capacity to resolve image management issues and technical problems, through proven diagnostic skill sets while robustly managing risk.  Evidence of supporting individuals and groups through business change and embracing technological evolution would be advantageous.

With a strong technical problem solving skill set, combined with an understanding of the critical nature of patient care, the prevailing candidate will be able to respond to competing targets to deliver quality Imaging IT services throughout the Trust and partner sites.

As a demonstrably experienced team player with effective time management skills, the successful candidate will be a core member of the Imaging IT team, delivering customer focused activity to enable high quality patient orientated services.  The role includes first and second line support, blended with a variety of interesting and often diverse projects.

The successful candidate will be based at Derriford Hospital situated on the outskirts of Plymouth, Devon.  They will enter the department at an exciting time, becoming a productive member of the support team, continuing a tradition and focus upon customer service and quality support
