B5 Rotational Speech and Language Therapist, Hull and East Riding Speech and Language Therapy Service.

Do you want to start your career working in a friendly and forward thinking department that offers great training and CPD opportunities?

We are looking for a therapist with excellent communication skills, who is keen to develop specialist skills in working with clients with acquired neurological disorders. You will have the opportunity to work in a specialist stroke multidisciplinary team in Hull in addition to working in our main community adult speech and language therapy team. This will include both inpatient, clinic and domiciliary settings.

You will be taken through a structured preceptorship program, completing a recognised qualification in dysphagia management, in addition to having opportunities for further specialised training such as Lee Silverman Voice Training. You will be supported by senior staff with advanced clinical knowledge in areas of stroke, voice, dysfluency, dysphagia and aphasia. There is also a local band 5 SLT peer support group that staff are encouraged to attend in addition to regular team CPD meetings and supervision.
