CONSULTANT HAEMATOLOGIST

 

Full time – 10 PAs

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Haematologist to join an established and enthusiastic team of 8 Consultants who provide a full range of diagnostic and clinical haematology services. This includes clinical (attending) duties to BCSH Level 3 care at the Regional Cancer Centre based at Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) on a rotational basis, though the post will also include duties at both Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucester Royal Hospital. The Consultant team is supported by 2 Specialist Registrars, 3 Specialty Doctors, 1 ST1/2, 1 FY1, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 1 Transfusion Practitioner and 7 Specialist Nurses.

The post is available at 10 PAs per week including on-call commitments shared with the other 8 consultant colleagues on the rota. Candidates with a sub specialist interest would be welcomed but this is not essential to the role.

Whole-time, part-time or job share applicants welcome. Relocation expenses, flexible working arrangements and support with childcare are available.
