Wirral University Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit proactive Theatre nurses or ODP’s who currently work in theatre or have an interest in working in the Operating Theatres to join our dedicated, forward thinking, dynamic staff. Whether you have experience or are looking to start a career in the operating theatre, WUTH is the organisation for you. The position for a theatre nurse or ODP will be within our Urology and Robotic Theatres at Arrowe Park site.

As a teaching hospital we offer training and support to learners and newly qualified nurses/ODPs. Successful candidates would be fully supported in learning new skills and knowledge. In house training and also external training is offered. For the right candidate we will also offer a hybrid role including scrub, anaesthetics and recovery.

The post holder will be required to work as a part of a highly motivated team with a real commitment to providing a high standard of patient care. As a registered practitioner either on the NMC or HCPC registers you will be dynamic innovative and motivated health care professional who has patient care and safety at the heart of everything you do.

Whilst working predominantly at one site, There may be the occasion where the successful candidates will need to work across sites and specialities which will also provide wider opportunities for learning. Once competent and confident in your role you will be required to work over a 7 day rota.

By joining us we will give you the support and development you need to become a practitioner of the future. With an initial internal training programme and assessment you will achieve competence enabling you to develop your patient care skills. In return for your dedicated care Wirral University Teaching Hospital can provide you with opportunities to develop into perioperative practitioners of the future. We can also offer development in both BA and BSC and up to Master’s level and Leadership qualifications to support further professional development.
