Education Centre Assistant

Band 2

Fixed Term 12 months

A unique and exciting position has been made available at Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for an Education Centre Assistant to help support our team as we expand to provide the L&D administration service for Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (initially on a 12 month contract).

The Education Centre Assistant will assist the L&D Manager in the smooth running of the Centre and supporting the administration team, ensuring that all Centre Services are maintained to a high standard. This will include accurately inputting training attendance records onto ESR; administering the room booking system and training sessions (booking venues/ advertising courses/ taking nominations/ ensuring correspondence is sent out within specified time frames); ensuring equipment is prepared for use in meeting rooms when required and providing administrative support to the wider team.

We are looking for:

  • Data inputting experience

  • Experience of providing administrative support and working in a busy office providing a service to customers/ service users

  • Good communication and customer service skills (verbal and written)

  • Good telephone manner, with the ability to deal calmly and tactfully with telephone callers and visitors.

  • IT skills

  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload

  • Flexible approach with the ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to multi-task and deliver to agreed timescales

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of manual handling and maneuvering furniture/ equipment within the training rooms

  • Experience of working in a training or educational environment/ the NHS is desirable but full training will be provided

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months’ salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
