An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated experienced Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse to join the Community Day Surgery team in Tiverton Hospital. We are a diverse, dynamic Day Surgery/Endoscopy Unit,looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible, and dedicated Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse to join our professional, friendly, caring team. The successful applicant will be valuable in delivering high quality care within this professional and focused department. The main base will be at Tiverton Day Surgery and Endoscopy Unit, however the successful candidate/s must be flexible to the service demand and willing to work within the various Community Day Surgery Units within the Trust, including Heavitree Day Case Unit, Axminster, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Parkerswell Day Case Units to cover staff shortage /sickness should the need arise.

As part of the Team the post holder will be responsible for the day to day running of the unit alongside the Sister/Team Leader. Tiverton provides a wide range of endoscopy and surgical specialties, including Orthopaedics, Plastics, Endoscopy, ENT, Max Fax, Vascular, General and Colorectal Surgery and a busy Endoscopy Unit.You will be supported in your role by the theatre Sisters and Matron.

 

Full or Part Time applicants will be considered.

 

Salary: £23,023 – £29,608 per annum

 

 

 

 

Tiverton Hospital is situated within easy access of the M5 motorway and the North Devon Link Road. There is ample parking on site. At present we are open Mon to Friday.

 

The Community Day Surgery Theatres are managed by the; Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital is situated on the edge of the beautiful vibrant university and cathedral city of Exeter. The Community Theatres are situated in Axminster, Exmouth, Heavitree Exeter, Sidmouth & Tiverton.

 

If you are new to the region, Devon has many attractions. Exeter is just 10 miles from the coast where you will discover beautiful beaches; Exmouth is the beginning of the 95 mile stretch of the World heritage site “The Jurassic coast”

Devon is bordered by 2 coast lines, and between the coasts Devon boasts large areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the Exmoor and Dartmoor national parks.

Exeter provides excellent public transport links via road, bus, rail and a local airport, the county has also invested in many new cycle paths.
