An Opportunitiy has arisen within Elderly Medicine on The Acute Frailty Unit situated at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI) in Lancaster.

We are looking to employ registered nurses with elderly care experience who wish to be involved in improving care for frail patients. The Acute Frailty Unit is a 15 bedded assessment unit with a specific assessment criteria. Nurses involved in care will assess. impliment and evaluate care needs for frail patients in order to facilitate early discharge. The Frailty unit is supported by Eldely Consultants and a care of the eldely team of nurses.

This is an ideal opportunity to be involved with the continous development of the frailty unit and to re shape the pathway for the frailty patients within the Morecambe Bay Area.

Newly qualified Band 5 nurses are welcomed to apply; you can work towards Band 5 competencies & develop extended roles. Full support for Preceptorship given.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
