The Cardiology services across the East and North Herts trust has undergone a substantial programme of expansion and service development. In recent years we have developed a 24/7 PPCI service, new ward buildings, an increased consultant team and expanding the Cardiac Imaging services within the trust.

This expansion has also led to major improvements within the CRM services in the trust. Within the last 12 months the CRM clinics have become paperless using the Fysicon Datalinq® management system. This has allowed us to expand our follow-up services to include ICD and CRT-D device follow-up. In the near future the paperless integration will be expanded to allow full integration of remote follow-up services within the trusts. This will allow us to further expand remote follow-up of all cardiac devices, with plans in place to expand this service to include all suitable Permanent Pacing Systems.

As we continue to expand our CRM services, we know have the support of a Consultant Electrophysiologist who will join the trust in October 2019. Working with our tertiary partners to establish a complex device implant service on site by 2020. In order to enable candidates to maintain their skills we have an agreement with our tertiary partners to allow the successful candidates to support implants whilst the service is developed on site.

It is an exciting time to join the trust, with service developments underway. As a Band 7 within the CRM service your input will be vital and expected, in shaping how the CRM services operate within the trust. Working with the Lead Physiologist for CRM and the newly appointment Electrophysiologist in an inclusive partnership to design and deliver services within the trust.

There is an expectation for the successful candidate will be part of the PPCI on-call team, so experience in invasive cardiology is essential. The trust has recently started to offer 12.5% R&R uplift also. Due to the high level of clinical input IBHRE or equivalent certification is required to be considered for this post.
