Band 2 £17,652 to £19,020 per annum

Permanent full time post of 37.5 hours per week (monday to Friday)

We are a small but very busy Finance Department and are seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant to work in the Accounts Payable team.

Primary duties will include :

  • Processing all creditor invoices in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring all errors and price queries are dealt with efficiently and accurately.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements, taking actions as appropriate.
  • Resolving queries with staff and colleagues concerning invoices and payment, and liaising with suppliers.
  • Handling phone calls from patients, suppliers and customers who require financial information quickly and accurately.
  • Processing of Patients Travel Claims

In addition support for cash office functions is required on a rota basis. This comprises cash receipting, collection and banking, as well as taking credit card payments over the phone.

Experience within an Accounts Payable team is preferable, but training will be given.

The successful candidate must be numerate, accurate, be able to meet tight deadlines and have good communication skills.
