An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the award winning Anticoagulation and Thrombosis nursing team in Salisbury. This is a nurse-led service and the team work autonomously within both the out-patient and in-patient departments of Salisbury District Hospital. The team are involved in the care of all patients requiring anticoagulation and provide the assessment and treatment plans ensuring patient safety is maintained. This includes patients taking the direct oral anticoagulation drugs and also Warfarin.

This is a full time position with opportunities to develop further. The post holder will be required to work autonomously but also within a team and therefore applicants will need to have sufficient experience, at least 2 years post registration, good communication skills, IT skills, team work experience and a good underlying base knowledge in Cardiology. Anticoagulation experience, Clinical assessment skills and non-medical prescriber qualifications would be advantageous but not essential as further training would be provided.

If this job requires you to have DBS check to enable you to properly fulfil the requirements of the job, on appointment, you will be required to replay the cost of obtaining a DBS check and this amount will be reclaimed in installments from your salary.
