Part time Prescribing Team Administrator (20-25 hours per week)

Stoke Gifford and Conygre Medical Centres are looking for a part-time administrator to join a friendly Prescribing Team in a busy surgery.   The Prescribing Team process all incoming requests for medications as well as managing the chronic disease review recall process.  Working closely with clinical colleagues, they apply protocols and policies to support the medicines management process in a busy general practice setting. 

Candidates must have a strong sense of customer service and the ability to support patients while applying the various surgery procedures.  You must be pro-active and able to work well with minimal supervision.  You will demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills and be a very effective communicator and team player.  You will be enthusiastic, friendly and efficient and have the ability to adapt to changing demands. 

The post is largely administrative but also involves both face to face and telephone contact with patients.  Basic computer skills required and full training is given. You will be required to work at both surgery sites on a flexible working shift pattern.
