Nuclear Imaging and DEXA Band 7 Team Lead Radiographer 

(Full time, Job Share, Part Time – Max 37.5 hrs per week permanent 

Bedford Hospital NHS Trust is situated in the heart of Bedford town with excellent air, rail and road links and only 39mins away by train from London St Pancras station.  The Bedford Hospital radiology department carries out a full range of diagnostic radiological examinations for Inpatient, Outpatients and Emergency Department patients.  We provide all Diagnostic modalities such as MR, CT, U/S, DEXA, Cardiac Suite, Radionuclide Imaging, General Radiography, Theatres and Portables as well as an Interventional suite.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, HPC registered radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Technician to take a key role in the provision of the Nuc Imaging service to the Trust. 

You will be responsible for leading the NM/DEXA team whilst providing a high level of patient care and supervising and developing junior staff. You will work with other service leads assisting the radiology manager in the implementation of service redesign. You will have a key role in maintaining a high quality service with short waiting times and good use of resources.  

The department currently houses a Philips Brightview XCT  and a GE Lunar Prodigy Advance (DXA) scanners
