We are looking for an innovative, conscientious therapy assistant to join our team providing a community based service. We follow occupation-centred practice with a strong focus on evidence based practice and outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work with children across a wide age range and disability group.

 

The teams central office base is in Addlestone, near Chertsey, providing services to North East Surrey (Spelthorne , Elmbridge ,Epsom and Ewell)

 

Paediatric Occupational Therapy is part of the wider children’s services business unit that comprises Speech and Language and Physiotherapy along with Community Paediatricians, Children’s Nurses, Health Visitors, Safeguarding, Paediatric Audiology and Youth Counselling.

 

We are commissioned to provide NHS services on behalf of the Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in addition we provide services for the local education authority in Surrey.

 

A team player, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working independently, using your own initiative.

 

You need to be a car user with access to a vehicle.

 

Previous paediatric experience is not essential but desirable.

 

You can be employed on full NHS Terms and conditions of service with an NHS pension .You will have a thorough local induction; receive regular supervision and support for continuing professional development.

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts.
