The role;

As a Dispatcher you will be allocating patient journeys to available ambulance crews using our computerised allocation system. You will need to take into account journey times and traffic conditions to ensure that work is allocated logically and with the least amount of wastage. This role is based within our Contact Centre in Eastbourne. You will work in conjunction with our operational staff, ambulance control and Health Care Professionals across the regions we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for Patient Transport Services and would give you the scope to improve the way we work. We are looking for a motivated, logical thinking, caring, innovative and enthusiastic person to join the team.


The NEPTS Contact Centres offers our patients a service between 0700-2200 with the Contact Centre being operational 0600-2300. Therefore, we operate a rolling rota inclusive of weekends and bank holidays (including Christmas).


We offer an excellent basic salary of £18,813- £20,795 PLUS an enhanced rate for unsocial hours (hours worked before 06:00, or after 20:00).

· Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with various Health Service Colleagues and PTS Crews.

· The ability to multitask & operate multiple systems.

· Thrive on working under pressure with fast decision making skills.

· A desire to problem solve, taking ownership of operational challenges.

· A sound geographic knowledge of SCAS wide area

· A flexible approach to work
