Bedford NHS Trust is a uniquely situated NHS Trust with a relatively small footprint with up to 410 beds and over 2700 staff supporting a planned and reactive healthcare service to a cohort of over 300,000. The Trust Boards of Luton and Dunstable University Hospital and Bedford Hospital are working towards becoming a single new NHS Foundation Trust with effect from 1st April 2020. This will bring many benefits for patients and opportunities for staff. Both hospitals will retain their identity with individual hospital names and key services will remain on both sites and be managed as single teams across the whole Bedfordshire catchment area. Travel between Hospital sites may be required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Audiologist to join our busy and friendly department. You will be working at a senior predominantly in the adult rehab service in a modern, well-equipped department (newly built in 2004). You will have a BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualifications, and be registered, with the RCCP, ACHS, or HCPC, and have some post-qualification experience working in the NHS or other Healthcare Organisation.

Although we have a very strong learning and development ethos, you’ll need to arrive with some qualifications and experience already in place. These can be found in the Person Spec of the Job Description; however, we have highlighted the key requirements below:


  • BSc Audiology or equivalent (essential)

  • Registration with RCCP, ACHS or HCPC (essential)

  • Further specialist training (eg. HTS module – Adult Rehab)

Audiology works closely and collaboratively with ENT and a number of other disciplines, organisations and charities to provide a strong multi-disciplinary service to our local population. Probationary Period
