The role is to provide specialist care, advice and support to children and families of children with renal conditions. This is a new service for Sheffield and it is our expectation that the hours may be expanded as the service develops.

Initially it is expected that the successful candidate will work alongside a Consultant, but progressing to undertaking Nurse led clinics, reviewing follow up patients with complications such as renal scarring, solitary kidneys, polycystic kidney disease, and persistent microscopic haematuria.

Candidates will be expected to be currently registered with NMC as RSCN/RN (Child) with at least 3 years post qualification experience.

 

Essential requirement:

Mentorship or Teaching and assessing qualification

Desirable requirements:

Paediatric Life Support Certificate

Interest in Nephrology and its management

Orientation & training will be offered to the successful candidate

If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
