A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Leadership Team within the MEDicine Division.

The Head of Outpatients will be responsible to the Associate Director for the effective delivery of all Outpatient operational functions across the Trust and for effective business management of these services.


Providing high quality Nursing and Administrative Support for all aspects of the Services to ensure the delivery of all relevant activity and performance objectives.

This will include driving the established transformational trust wide programme of Modernising Outpatients, to help improve efficiencies and provide improved services for our patients and their families.

As part of the Senior Leadership within the Divisional team, the role will also include support to other services and collaborative working within the Division of MEDicine in order to best support the Division and Trust as a whole.

To do this the post-holder will be expected to work closely with the Associate Director, Divisional Clinical Director, Clinical Leads and Matrons, to meet agreed plans and priorities within available resources.

The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Outpatients Service with the aim of maximising the delivery of patient-focused, modern, effective and efficient clinical services within the Trust and across the wider local health economy.
