A great opportunity has arisen to work in our Ward at Kidderminster Hospital. The individual will be required to work on Wyre Forest Ward which is a 16 bedded GP unit providing medical, rehabilitation and palliative care facilities to the local community. Wyre Forest Ward is a new ward on the Kidderminster Hospital site and the main focus is to provide integrated care to patients within the Wyre Forest, working closely with community teams in the area.

We require innovative, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team. You will have a flexible approach to working and be willing to participate in the development of the ward.

The post holder will be working on the ward supporting both Therapy and Nursing staff proving therapy and rehabilitation. This includes carrying out physiotherapy treatment as guided by the qualified physiotherapist as well as supporting the physiotherapist with the treatment.

You need to have experience working with people, preferably in a caring environment. A Level 3 qualification (e.g. A Level, NVQ3) in Care or a Level 2 qualification (e.g. GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2) in Care .

Successful candidates will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust.

There is a well-developed appraisal system and continuing professional development is actively encouraged.

New employees to the Trust are required to pay the fee for the initial DBS check (this will be deducted from their first months’ salary) and the annual subscription (£13) to the DBS Update Service. The Trust offers a preceptorship year for newly qualified nurses and AHP's and attendance at preceptorship programmes is a condition of employment.
