Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Neurosurgeon with a special interest in Skull Base Neurosurgery, at this major London teaching hospital which is also part of the academic health science partnership UCL Partners. Applications from both senior trainees and established consultants are welcome.

The post holder will be a key member of the Neurosurgical Department and will be required to participate in the audits within the department, including regular reviews of mortality and morbidity. You will be required to work with the current neurosurgeons as a team, and you will closely with the current Ear Nose and Throat Consultants within UCLH.

University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a full-time Consultant Neurosurgeon who has a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.

This post would suit a candidate from a neurosurgical background who has extensive lateral microscopic skull base neurosurgical experience. The post involves providing day-to-day support for emergency referrals.

Candidates should have the ability to run and manage complex neurosurgical clinics and be able to supervise trainees. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in managing tumour patients and pathways.

Candidates must be eligible for full GMC registration; and either be already on the Specialist Register and have completed a formal fellowship in Skull Base Neurosurgery at a recognised institution, or have extensive experience.
