An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic medical laboratory assistant to assist in the deployment and implementation of digital pathology scanning into the cellular pathology department at Calderdale Royal Hospital.

The post holder would be expected to undertake other MLA duties within the cellular pathology department and mortuary in addition to the digital scanning of slides.

The successful applicant will have recent experience of working within a cellular pathology department, have good IT knowledge and have experience of training staff. NVQ or BTEC diploma level 3 in clinical laboratory support or Healthcare Science or the IBMS part two certificate of achievement for biomedical support staff is required.
