Local health and care services across Hertfordshire and west Essex have been working to develop a plan to provide a healthier future for residents. Improvements in living standards and healthcare mean that more people are living on into their old age. Faced with increasing demands on health and social care, we need to make changes to some of the ways we work.

The STP is taking the lead in planning and commissioning more integrated care for our population forward through an exciting transformation programme. The STP together with NHS providers, commissioners, general practitioners and local authorities twill work in partnership in improving health outcomes.

Hertfordshire and West Essex STP are looking to recruit individuals, who have experience of managing services or running programmes of work at a senior level to join our team at an exciting time. We have just been nominated as an ICS accelerator site by NHSE and have a number of large transformation programmes that will help our system deliver on the commitments of the long term plan and improve outcomes for our patients.

Successful candidates will have the experience and skills to quickly grasp the key challenges of the post, be innovative, resilient and be able to work at a fast pace to engage with provider partners, clinical commissioners and other stakeholders.

The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate experience in managing complex change and be competent with service re-design and service transformation. The post holder will be responsible for all elements of the programme (governance, reporting, monitoring, tracking etc.), including the strategic planning, facilitation and execution of the programme with the partnering organisations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are pivotal, as the role will involve liaising with internal and external senior stakeholders, clinical and professional leads to drive change forward to enable delivery of the projects and initiatives.
